National Urban League and Box Tops Educational Success Toolkit 

The National Urban League is proud to partner with Box Tops for Education®, a General Mills program, on the Educational Success Toolkit, a resource designed to support parent’s in being active in their children’s education journey.

The Box Tops for Education program was designed to help combat some of the budget challenges many of our nation’s schools are facing by creating an easy way for community members to support schools without having to spend extra money. There are many participating brands such as Honey Nut Cheerios cereal, Hamburger Helper® skillet meals and Cinnamon Toast Crunch® cereal that are already household favorites.  Each participating brand carries a “Box Top” coupon worth 10 cents to a school, and unrestricted funds earned by submitting the Box Tops to General Mills can be used to purchase books, school supplies, playground equipment, teacher training, computers, etc.

The National Urban League believes that every American child should receive a quality education and eventually be prepared for life beyond high school.  Today’s parent is often confronted with new technological advancements in classroom learning, work responsibilities and taking care of a household, leaving less time for parental engagement in an academic environment.
