Project Lead is the Urban League's talent development initiative. The goal of the project is to develop talented Urban League professionals and build a pipeline of leaders for the future. The Project is designed to serve Affiliate CEOs, senior professional staff, Young Professionals and other Urban League volunteers.
A key component of Project Lead is the Emerging Leaders Program. The Emerging Leaders Program is a competitive, multi-month development opportunity designed for high potential talent in the Urban League movement. The program provides a unique chance to develop analytical and critical leadership skills in the non-profit sector. Candidates are chosen to participate in this program to ensure that we are developing exceptional leaders with a keen interest in the work that we do at the Urban League.
The 2018-19 Emerging Leaders Program will begin at Annual Conference. The group will participate in classroom sessions, have practical experiences, and exposure to the Urban League movement during the Conference, at the Whitney M. Young Conference, during the National Equal Opportunity Day Dinner, and the 2019 Legislative Policy Conference.
The extended deadline to apply is now Friday, June 15, 2018. If there is someone you wish to recommend, please ask the candidate to submit his or her application using the link below.
