Independent Consultant & Financial Coach
Laura Royer is an Independent Consultant & Financial Coach. Her expertise includes group and one-on-one educational outreach in all areas of personal finance, housing and consumer fraud. She also specializes in measuring programmatic impact and outcomes and utilizing that to obtain new program funding. Since 2000, Ms. Royer has presented to over 60,000 and counseled over 1000 from various socioeconomic backgrounds. She has also generated over $750,000 in grant funding to support her programmatic efforts.
Ms. Royer received a master’s degree at Iowa State University majoring in Family Financial Planning and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida majoring in Family, Youth and Community Sciences.
A nationally invited presenter, Ms. Royer presents on webinars and at professional association conferences which include the National Extension Association of Family Consumer Sciences (NEAFCS), the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS), the Joint Council of Extension Professionals (JCEP) conference, the Children, Youth and Families at Risk (CYFAR) conference and the Housing Education and Research Association (HERA) conference.
She has received over 25 professional awards including nationally the 2013 Florence Hall Award, 2011 & 2006 Dean Don Felker Financial Management award, 2009 National Extension Agents of Family and Consumer Sciences (NEAFCS) Housing Outreach and the 2005 NEAFCS New Professional award.
