Walmart is proud to be a sponsor of The Urban League of Philadelphia’s (ULP) Career Center. The Urban League of Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating financial self-reliance in urban communities.
The ULP Career Center is open to applicants at all levels seeking work in a wide range of fields. ULP offers both on-site and online career services. By providing training programs such as Connect to Work – a six-week initiative that prepares workers to undertake roles as call center and customer service representatives – ULP helps Philadelphia-area adults enhance their skill set and employment opportunities.
The ULP Career Center offers employment seminars that cover electronic job searches, writing resumes, and how to impress interviewers. ULP conducts mock interviews and provides personal coaching to polish the performance of both experienced job hunters and recent graduates. Support from corporate partners like Walmart enables the ULP to offer its Career Center services free of charge.
