Stories of human achievement are everywhere. The Buick Achievers Scholarship started with that in mind. They want to celebrate motivated, passionate college bound students nationwide.
They're offering up to $25,000/year for 100 first-time freshman, renewable up to four years. They are also offering $2,000/year for an additional 1,000 incoming students.
Who they're looking for
It starts with good grades. But goes beyond. The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program wants to reward those who have succeeded both inside and outside of the classroom, who may not be able to attend college without financial assistance. It's a reward for what you've made of yourself, and the difference you are making for others.
If you have the passion to succeed - especially in fields of study important to the automotive and related industries, the Buick Achievers Scholarship Program is looking for you.
You've already made a difference. But you're eager to do more. You have a great future ahead of you. They want to help you take the next step...reach that next level...unleash your exceptional potential.
Applicants must:
- Be high school seniors or high school graduates who are first-time college students in the fall of 2011
- Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire 2011-12 academic year
- Plan to major in a course of study that focuses on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math). Select Design, Marketing, Accounting, Finance and Business majors are also eligible. See the list of eligible majors. Scholarship recipients will demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industries using these areas of study.
- Be U.S. citizens and have permanent residence in the United States

The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program is now accepting applications from high school seniors or high school graduates who are first-time college students in the fall of 2011. The application deadline is March 31, 2011
