Health and Quality of Life delivers sustainable programs to underserved communities that create greater access to healthcare and advocate for the elimination of health disparities.
Communities of color are less likely to be insured and have lower life expectancies. The National Urban League’s Health and Quality of Life division works to eliminate these health disparities through education and awareness, access to quality healthcare, and developing programs that empower individuals and communities to achieve healthy lives.
Signature Programs:
Community Health Worker (CHW) promotes healthy living to eliminate health disparities in underserved communities through the use of CHWs who are experienced, culturally competent and knowledgeable of the health care system. CHW’s serve as health coaches and help program participants access quality healthcare services.
