George is a 19 year old male who currently resides with his mother and two other siblings. He enrolled in the Urban Supply Chain Jobs Program after an in- depth presentation and counseling session by the Pinellas County Urban League. George joined the USCJP hoping to obtain additional skills and a certification. George’s barriers prior to joining were transportation and his new responsibility of assisting with his younger siblings.
Since completing customer service operations training, George has a newfound interest in customer service operations, and wants to truly combine this skill with computer programing to create a fulfilling and good-paying career. The USCJP has contributed to George's transformation by making education and employment skills accessible and affordable to him and his family. He’s been given additional skills that will assist him with a career --not just employment.
George believes his family and the Pinellas County Urban League working together to serve as a support system has contributed to his transformation. George’s family predicts long-term success for him due to his positive attitude and hard work combined with support from the Urban League.
