Mortgage Payment Cut by a Third- Thanks to the Urban League in Seattle!

Thanks to the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, the Johnson family was able to save their family home and pay $510.73 less per month.

Mr. and Mrs. Johnson are an African-American couple in their retirement years, and they visited the ULMS 3 month behind on their adjustable rate mortgage. Mr.  Johnson was self-employed as a carpenter journeyman. Unfortunately, business slowed down, resulting in a significant income reduction at the same time his wife also had a pay reduction. The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle worked with the Johnsons, who returned all requested paperwork in a timely manner. The affiliate also worked with NationStar, and they were able to reduce the family’s payment to $1,090.50 (3.25% interest) from $1,601.23 (7.55% interest).
