Chicago Urban League Entrepreneurship Center Client Opens “Hairven on Earth”
Danielle Smith is a small business owner who participated in The Chicago Urban League Entrepreneurship Center program, nextSTEP in the spring of 2015. Her business, Hairven on Earth Hair Salon, just had their grand opening on May 22, 2016. Danielle’s business vision is, “To own franchises thatprovide privacy for people with major hair loss, excellent customer service and haircare of all types.” Her mission is, “To promote great self- image and empowerment in the salon holistically inside and out. By privatizing for people that has had or having major hair loss from chemotherapy, alopecia, medication, environmental or everyday life stress or just for those who like to be private; By providing an environment that is enjoyable and relaxing. Bringing life to a client’s vision and doing it with integrity at an affordable base price.” She has utilized all aspects of the Center’s services by completing their training program, presenting her business plan, receiving business coaching, and utilizing CHA scholarship funding to open her first store front on the south side of Chicago.
