From owning her own sno-ball stand at the age of seven to producing television shows in California, New Orleans native Natashia Paul has taken her passion for artistry and melded it with an innate entrepreneurial spirit. Paul is the owner of Wink! Eyelash Bar & Makeup Studio; and her work has been featured on television networks such as Bravo and TLC.
Natashia had a vision to create the kind of glamour experience reserved only for celebrities and Hollywood starlets for everyday women. She came to the Urban League of Greater New Orleans Women’s Business Resource Center for assistance in obtaining a loan. She enrolled in the WBRC’s entrepreneurial training boot camp to learn how to get the business off the ground. Subsequently, she obtained a $40,000 loan from one of the WBRC’s banking partners and hasn’t looked back since.
Wink! created and conducts the successful “Make-up and Martini Mixer” an annual event during the Essence Festival in New Orleans. The hugely successful event has garnered sponsorship from local corporations and is attended by numerous celebrities.
