Urban League of Greater Dallas: All Students Honored at Achievement Matters Luncheon
All students from the Urban League of Greater Dallas Education Division received accolades for their academic achievements, community service and leadership skills at the Annual Achievement Matters Annual Luncheon. "The Urban League places an elevated emphasis on ensuring that our youth and adults are well educated and prepared for economic self-reliance", said Dr. Beverly Mitchell-Brooks, Urban League President and CEO. "Through programs such as Project Ready-Mentor, 100 Fellows, Urban Youth Empowerment Program and the Adult Basic Education Program, the League empowers not only youth but also their families to achieve their full potential.Outstanding Students Receive Special Recognition
Students in the Urban League of Greater Dallas Education and Youth Services Division were all winners at the annual Achievement Matters Awards Luncheon but three received top honors. Hadiyah Lambert, an honors graduate of Cedar Hill High School and a member of the League's 100 Fellows was named Student of the Year.
