Houston Launch: Way to Well Health Tour with National Urban League
(On March 11, 2014) The Way to Well Health Tour with NUL held it's launch event at the Houston Area Urban League from 10am-4:00pm. This event was a great success and we were able to see 90 consumers throughout the day.
The event kicked off with a check presentation of $5,000 to the Houston Area Urban League with representatives from city council, the Senator's office, and Constable May Walker in attendance. We received media coverage from African American News and Radio One stations who were following up with radio coverage of our remaining Tour stops in Houston. Alongside the Tour, the Houston Foodbank provided those individuals who received health screenings with free groceries.We are delighted to have seen such a great turnout and excitement around the presence of yesterday's event. Many thanks to the Houston Area Urban League for hosting and promoting throughout the community. Today's Tour stop will be held at Walgreens Retail Store #01580 and the Tour will remain in Houston through March 24th.
