“SMALL BUSINESS MATTERS!” COULD LAUNCH THE NATION’S NEXT BUSINESS SENSATION AT THE NATIONAL URBAN LEAGUE CONFERENCE IN BOSTON
(July 12, 2011) -- Workshops, networking opportunities, and a chance to win $10,000 await the nation’s budding entrepreneurs at the National Urban League’s conference-within-a-conference, “Small Business Matters!” Saturday, July 30 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
Entrepreneurs can compete in the pitch contest, in partnership with 100 Urban Entrepreneurs and Babson College, to win one of two prizes of $10,000 in financing.
Registration for the summit is free; a meal package, which includes breakfast, lunch, and a networking reception, can be purchased for $100. Details are available at www.nul.org/conference
Maggie Anderson, CEO of The Empowerment Experiment, is the luncheon speaker.
Workshops will focus on financing a business, selling to corporate America, creating a marketing plan, as well as the availability of public sector programs.
