The State of Black America: Putting Urban America Back to Work
The National Urban League, which has always been dedicated to the economic empowerment of all Americans, has declared war on unemployment. Next Thursday, March 31, at 10 a.m., we take the battle to Howard University, where we will formally release The State of Black America 2011: “Jobs Rebuild America.” We will engage hundreds of Howard students and others in a dynamic and thought-provoking Town Hall, moderated by Jeff Johnson and Roland Martin. Is the nation’s economic recovery reaching urban communities, and what does it mean for young people poised to enter the job market? Admission to the Town Hall is free, so join us for this historic event.
