What is Project Lead?

Project Lead is the Urban League's talent development initiative. The goal of the project is to develop key Urban League professionals and build a pipeline of leaders for the future.

Who does it serve?

  • Affiliate CEOs
  • Senior professional staff
  • National staff
  • Emerging leaders
  • Urban League volunteers

Why is Project Lead important to the Urban League movement?

Project Lead prepares professionals to meet the challenges faced by the communities we serve through structured learning and development sessions.

When do Project Lead sessions take place?

The majority of Project Lead sessions take place each fall at our annual Whitney M. Young, Jr. Leadership Development Conference. This conference includes special Executive Development sessions for CEOs, program training for professional staff; sessions for participants in our Emerging Leaders program, as well as our Young Professionals, the Guild and other volunteers.
