What is the BEEP Student Leadership Institute?
The Student Leadership Institute is a day-long program during the Annual BEEP Leadership Conference where students evaluate their leadership and personality styles through the use of self-assessment tools, intense workshops and interaction with African-American executives, industry experts and their student peers.
What is the student case competition?
The case competition is open to all participating BEEP schools. Student teams are comprised of 4 students plus 1 faculty member and must present a response to case issued by the supporting sponsor. The top three teams, selected by a committee, compete on-site at the Annual BEEP Leadership Conference for a chance to win one of three cash prizes.
The 2011 case competition sponsors, Sodexo, tasked the students to come up with strategies that would help the company market itself to millenials (people born between the years 1981-2000). The winning teams were Southern University Baton Rouge (1st place), Savannah State University (2nd) and Florida A&M University (3rd).
What is the Dr. Jerome E. Bartow Scholarship Golf Tournament?
The Dr. Jerome E. Bartow Scholarship Golf Tournament takes place every year during the Annual BEEP Leadership Conference. The Golf Tournament provides an excellent opportunity for business professionals to enjoy a day of golf while networking. Proceeds from the golf tournament support the Dr. Jerome E. Bartow Scholarship Fund. We welcome all attendees of the Annual BEEP Leadership Conference as well as those who would like to network with some of corporate America’s top African-American executives to partake in the occasion.
