I Am Empowered - I am the National Urban League

The KNOW Hunger Challenge by Tyson Foods and Elanco is designed to create awareness of the difficulties in nutritionally feeding a family of 4 with limited financial resources, with the realization that our employees and neighbors may be facing these same challenges. Our goal is to create awareness and lessen the stigmas of hunger and poverties in the communities we live and work in.

12:00 p.m.: Presenters arrive; test audio/visual elements
1:00-1:45 p.m.: Welcome, Anna Kimble-Roberson – Tyson Foods

• Directions/ Rules for the day

1:45-3:15 p.m.: Planning and Shopping, Kroger

• Shopping must be complete and be back at The Ivy Center

3:15-4:15 p.m.: Presentation and Judging – Latrisha Jemison, Leslie Speller-Henderson, Stormy Walker

• Teams will present their meals to the judges and group (4 min/ group)
