The garden is a joint project of the Urban League of Portland and the African Women's Coaltion.
Community gardens provide spaces for kids to learn about the origins of fresh foods and how to enjoy healthier meals and engage in physical activity suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Local community gardens are an important solution to help empower communities to increase access to healthy food.
